Histories: Edward Gillette wrote book in 1925 called 'Locating the Iron Trail,' explains how he chose railroad locations

Edward Gillette was more than just a railroad surveyor who ended up having a town named after him. He was an explorer of the West whose work enabled thousands after him to pioneer portions of the United States, said historian Fred Jeffries of Denver. Jeffries will portray Edward Gillette as part of the city’s 106th anniversary. He will play the surveyor at a Rockpile Museum Association fundraiser.
