Hovis claims title on Utley Junior Tour

SEDALIA — Jefferson City’s Hunter Hovis claimed his first event win of the Stan Utley Junior Tour on Monday at Sedalia Country Club. Hovis took first place out of 18 golfers in the boys 16-18 year-old division with a 2-over 72, the 10th golfer in that division this summer to finish atop the standings. He carded two birdies, 12 pars and four bogeys in his round.
