UVA’s latest compliance report raises more questions than it answers | Guest column
The University of Virginia’s latest quarterly compliance report to the U.S. Department of Justice provides the clearest evidence yet that UVA, under former President Jim Ryan, engaged in DEI-related hiring and admissions practices. In the report — signed on June 30 by Ryan’s successor, Scott Beardsley — UVa states that it has begun dismantling those practices as part of a university wide civil rights compliance review.
