Leader of Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans is leaving after 5 years

Anwar Nasir, one of the few Black executive director of a major American classical orchestra, is departing from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra to lead the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago, after successfully guiding the LPO through challenges and triumphs.
