Challis artist Bonnie Haeberle stands on a lift June 22 to paint the upper section of a mural that celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Haeberle is creating a quilt square image on the front of the Challis Legion Hall with some grant money from the America 250 in Idaho project. While painting she wears virtual reality goggles which display the design she created. Haeberle said the project will be completed before July 4.
