‘Deeply mortified’ Clarke Historical Museum finds racially insensitive items in gift shop

The items in question were “two illustrated antique Black Americana tea towels” that the museum described as offensive. Museum management, which operates its gift shop on a consignment basis, was unaware that the items were stocked in the gift shop.
