Christopher Gibbs: Groundhog Day meets daylight saving

The 1993 movie “Groundhog Day,” starring actor Bill Murray, was a satirical tale of a cynical journalist who travels to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover Groundhog Day. Murray’s character ends up in a comical doom loop where he awakes each day to the same Groundhog Day – over and over and over again. Once he realizes his experience is giving him multiple chances to become a better person (and, of course, to find love), he begins to game the experience to that end.
